What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Maverick Tech?
Our team is looking for a Quality Technician to help maintain our manufacturing standards by verifying that all products align with quality benchmarks during production. You will be based on the plant floor, where you will engage in hands-on tasks such as measuring components and conducting inspections to satisfy both internal production goals and customer expectations.
We are searching for someone who has a background in manufacturing quality inspections and enjoys collaborating directly with production staff.
Core Duties- Execute quality checks on an hourly basis during the manufacturing cycle.
- Carry out first article inspections for both new and ongoing production batches.
- Utilize precision instruments like calipers to accurately measure parts.
- Confirm that components meet all functional and design requirements.
- Identify potential defects to help ensure high-quality output.
- Record findings from inspections and report any discrepancies to the production management team.
- Participate in containment and corrective action processes to resolve quality challenges.
- Collaborate with the production team to help uphold consistent quality standards.
- Contribute to ongoing initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing and quality workflows.
- Help foster a secure and tidy workspace for all employees.
- Background in a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or comparable manufacturing role.
- Proficiency in operating various inspection and measurement tools.
- Capacity to analyze and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Keen eye for detail combined with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to spend the bulk of your shift working directly on the production floor.
- Prior experience within environments such as injection molding, thermoforming, plastics, fabrication, or metal stamping is a plus.
