CNC Machine Operator

As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in our production environment by operating and maintaining advanced machining centers to deliver high-precision components. You will leverage your technical expertise to ensure all parts meet rigorous quality standards, directly impacting the reliability and performance of our manufactured products.

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce diverse parts based on complex engineering drawings.
• Execute precise tool changes and make necessary program adjustments to optimize machining efficiency.
• Conduct thorough in-process inspections using micrometers and precision gages to verify tolerances.
• Utilize overhead cranes and hoists to safely position heavy castings for machining.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor assembly to ensure peak operational uptime.
• Document production metrics, labor data, and any identified defects accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace while adhering to all established safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot material or equipment challenges as they arise.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of the Cartesian coordinate system and geometric tolerancing.
• Proven ability to use precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Machining Technology certification from an accredited trade or vocational school.
• 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
• Experience operating laser trackers or similar advanced measurement systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor equipment repairs and assembly tasks.
