Caregiver / Family Support Nanny (High-Functioning Autistic Child)
We are seeking a highly professional, dependable, and compassionate Caregiver / Family Support Nanny to assist with the care and support of a high-functioning 12-year-old boy. The ideal candidate will bring patience, emotional intelligence, structure, and flexibility to help support daily routines, activities, and overall well-being.
This position is best suited for someone who understands how to “lean in” when support is needed while also encouraging independence, confidence, and consistency.
Schedule
• Full-time position — approximately 40 hours per week
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
• Summer support will include transportation to camps, activities, and appointments
Compensation
• $35 – $55 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities
• Provide attentive, supportive care in a calm and patient manner
• Assist with transportation to camps, extracurricular activities, appointments, and outings
• Help maintain structure, routines, and positive daily habits
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks
• Support social engagement, communication, and emotional regulation when needed
• Partner closely with parents to ensure consistency and continuity of care
• Assist with light child-related household tasks and organization
• Create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment
Qualifications
• 7–10 years of professional childcare, caregiving, or nanny experience preferred
• Experience supporting neurodivergent children, including autism spectrum disorder, strongly preferred
• Excellent references required
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Calm demeanor with the ability to adapt to changing needs and schedules
• Professional, trustworthy, dependable, and discreet
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
