Procurement Contracts Manager (Construction & Real Estate) – Hybrid (4/1) in NYC
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Procurement Contracts Manager with a Juris Doctor to lead contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle management efforts. This role will serve as a key partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring contracts are structured to support business objectives while minimizing risk. The ideal candidate brings a strong legal background, excellent negotiation skills, and experience within construction and/or real estate asset management environments.
Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Negotiation, Administration, Legal & Risk Compliance,
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a range of agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, Amendments, and NDAs
- Ensure contract terms are clear, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals
- Support ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including initiation, approval, execution, renewal, and termination
- Track contractual obligations, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation
- Ensure all contractual activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Partner with Risk Management to confirm appropriate insurance requirements
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks in collaboration with Legal and Procurement leadership
- Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related matters across internal teams and external vendors
- Collaborate with legal counsel, project managers, asset management, and construction teams
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support performance and accountability
- Assist in resolving contract-related issues efficiently
Contract Close-Out, Financial & Cost Management
- Oversee contract close-out processes, ensuring all obligations are fulfilled and documentation is complete
- Facilitate clear communication across stakeholders to avoid delays
- Analyze contract pricing structures and financial terms
- Benchmark rates and terms against industry standards to support cost-effective negotiations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in contract negotiation, management, or administration
- Prior experience in construction and/or real estate asset management strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced contract negotiation and management expertise
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with contract management systems/software (implementation experience a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Compensation
This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $125,000.00 to $175,000.00 annually.
