Supply Chain Director – Global Manufacturing Operations
Location: Tomball, TX 77375
Work Type: Direct Hire, 100% Onsite
Compensation: $165,000 – $185,000 base bonus (~10%)

About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Supply Chain Director to build and lead global supply chain operations for a growing manufacturing organization supporting complex, project-based production environments.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will operate as a player/coach, initially building the function from the ground up while scaling processes, systems, and teams to support rapid growth and global expansion.
You will have end-to-end ownership of supply chain performance across sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and supplier management.
What You’ll Do
Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead all supply chain functions including sourcing, procurement, material planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for complex manufactured components and assemblies
- Build scalable processes, procedures, and operational controls to support long-term growth
Supplier & Global Sourcing Strategy
- Establish and manage global supplier relationships, including qualification, onboarding, negotiation, and performance management
- Drive cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and risk mitigation strategies
- Expand and support multi-site and international supplier networks
Planning, Inventory & Logistics
- Implement material planning and inventory control processes, including MRP and demand planning
- Optimize inventory levels, material flow, and working capital
- Oversee domestic and international logistics, including freight, transportation, and trade compliance
ERP Implementation & Systems Integration
- Lead ERP implementation and help stand up systems from the ground up
- Oversee supply chain data structure including item master, supplier data, BOMs, and planning parameters
- Drive system optimization and reporting to support operational visibility and decision-making
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Project Management teams
- Align material availability with production schedules and project timelines
- Support company-wide operational and growth initiatives
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track KPIs including on-time delivery, supplier performance, inventory accuracy, lead times, and cost savings
- Build dashboards and reporting to provide insights to leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function
Team Development & Growth
- Build and scale the supply chain organization as the company grows
- Recruit, mentor, and develop supply chain professionals across locations
- Establish structure, accountability, and long-term scalability
What You Bring
Must-Have Experience
7–10 years of progressive experience in: Supply chain, Procurement, Operations leadership
- Proven experience in global supply chain operations within manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience implementing or standing up ERP systems from scratch
- Strong background across sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics
- Experience building and scaling supply chain processes in a high-growth environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical or engineering exposure with the ability to understand manufactured components
- Experience supporting international operations and global supply chain activities
- Experience building or scaling supply chain functions in a startup or high-growth environment
