LHH is currently partnering with an organization in the Washington, DC area looking to bring on a motivated and organized individual to their our team as a temporary Office Assistant for the next 2 weeks with the potential to extend. This position will begin ASAP. The role will report 5 days a week onsite and pay for the position is between $21-$23 based on experience.
The Office Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office environment. This position involves handling a variety of administrative tasks, managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and supporting various departments with clerical duties. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-centric attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Manage office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Support various departments with clerical tasks as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings.
- Assist with event planning and coordination.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a receptionist or office assistant is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
