You will join a technology-driven organization operating in an advanced manufacturing and engineering environment, supporting products that enable a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. As the newly created Corporate Controller, you will help build an IPO-ready finance function by strengthening Corporate Accounting, elevating Financial Accounting discipline, and scaling processes designed to meet public-market expectations.
The Corporate Controller reports directly to the CFO, works closely with a peer VP of Finance, and serves as the central accounting leader across Legal, HR, FP&A, and Business Operations, while planning and developing an expanding accounting team that may include Accounting Manager, SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting, and core close and operational accounting resources.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead an end‑to‑end close cycle across monthly, quarterly, and annual timelines, with an emphasis on consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain strong accounting policies aligned with applicable standards, including preparation of documentation and analyses that support audit readiness.
- Design, implement, and enhance internal control frameworks to support compliance, risk management, and scalable financial operations.
- Develop regulatory and external reporting processes, including selection and adoption of tools that enable efficient, well‑controlled filings.
- Build and oversee technical accounting capabilities to address complex transactions, policy interpretation, and emerging guidance.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and professional advisors, coordinating audits, reviews, and readiness initiatives.
- Partner with operational leaders to ensure accounting practices reflect underlying business activity, including cost structure, inventory flows, and operational transactions.
- Support major systems initiatives and ERP enhancements, helping translate accounting and reporting needs into effective process and system design.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team, fostering skill development, accountability, and future leadership capacity.
- Coordinate financial close and reporting activities across geographies and time zones to support timely, consolidated results.
- Collaborate closely with finance, tax, legal, and business partners to provide accounting guidance on contracts, initiatives, and strategic transactions.
- Contribute to transaction readiness activities, including diligence support, integration planning, and alignment with leadership on financial strategy.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- CPA or Certified Public Accountant credentials that support credibility and technical depth.
- Progressive experience across Corporate Accounting and Financial Accounting functions, with exposure to senior‑level leadership responsibilities.
- Background in public‑company environments or organizations preparing for increased regulatory and investor scrutiny.
- Hands‑on involvement in designing and implementing internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Experience building or improving external reporting and disclosure processes, ideally supported by modern reporting platforms.
- Strong grounding in technical accounting, including complex transactions and policy interpretation.
- Exposure to manufacturing, technology, or product‑driven environments where operational accounting considerations matter.
- Experience supporting ERP upgrades or finance systems modernization initiatives.
- A builder mindset with demonstrated success developing teams and scaling accounting functions.
- Comfort working in global environments and partnering across time zones and cultures.
