What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at LHH?

Responsibilities of this direct hire Accountant include:
- Manage and maintain payment schedules for the portfolio and communicate with accounts payables.
- Ensure all contractual payments are reviewed, approved, and issued on time.
- Manage all purchase orders.
- Review contractual obligations and deadlines, confirming that payment terms, insurance requirements, to ensure conditions outlined are met.
- Review wire requests for accuracy.
- Oversee property tax obligations.
- Partner with corporate accounting on tax compliance questions, accruals, and journal entry support.
- Maintain records (both physical and electronic) and stay audit compliant.
Minimum requirements:
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience within the Real Estate industry specifically land leases a plus
- Attentive to details
- Good time management
- Self-starter able to work under minimal supervision
