This role is critical to ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machines and production equipment according to schedules
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on equipment
- Repair or replace defective machine parts, motors, belts, gears, bearings, and sensors
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests to detect potential issues before failure
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in maintenance logs or CMMS
- Assist with machine setups and changeovers when needed
- Work closely with production and QC teams to reduce downtime and ensure equipment performance
- Ensure all work follows safety standards and complies with company policies
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, including tools and spare parts inventory
- Support the installation of new machinery or equipment upgrades
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems and machine controls is a plus
- Familiar with lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA, and general safety protocols
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond quickly to breakdowns
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various plant environments
