Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating expertise in various techniques and materials. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during material handling and installation processes.
- Conduct inspections of existing roofs to assess conditions and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Apply caulking, stucco, and other finishing materials as needed for waterproofing and aesthetic purposes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields.
- 3 Years Experience Minimum.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices.
- Proficiency in carpentry, including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing.
- Experience with masonry work, concrete forming, and tile laying is a plus.
- Ability to perform maintenance person tasks such as plumbing and welding when necessary.
- Strong understanding of restoration techniques for various roofing systems.
