ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Mining Engineer to provide on-site engineering support for an above-ground mining operation.
This role supports mine management in ensuring operations are conducted safely, in compliance with regulatory requirements, and in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities include mine planning, drilling and blasting support, regulatory documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Promote and adhere to safety policies across all work environments
- Conduct surveying and mapping of mine development and features
- Support short- and mid-term mine planning in collaboration with geological teams
- Track and manage mining royalties
- Optimize blasting operations, including cost, fragmentation, and production impact
- Maintain and update required regulatory documentation (e.g., MSHA, ATF)
- Ensure appropriate ground support systems are implemented
- Assist with crew coordination and supervision as needed
- Perform design work and cost analysis for special projects
- Monitor mining conditions and practices to drive continuous improvement
- Support safety training initiatives and maintain records
- Assist with new site development and greenfield projects
- Provide technical support to mine management
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Field: Mining Engineering
Experience: 2–5 years
Travel: Minimal
