Our client a plumbing supply company based in Lynn, MA is looking to bring on an Office Manager/Bookkeeper on a direct hire basis for a Mon-Fri 8am-5pm opening they currently have due to a pending retirement. They traditionally move quickly through the interview process and offer a very stable employee owned working environment. Most of their longer term employees have been there for decades at a time. This would be a full time 40 hour per week role and the company has 20-25 total employees.This individual will support business efficiency, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure smooth workflow across administrative and customer service activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-business environment.Key Responsibilities:Office Management:Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and equipment maintenance.Coordinate schedules, meetings, and internal communication for management and staff.Assist with customer inquiries (phone, email, walk-ins) and provide excellent service.Support order processing, invoicing, and general administrative tasks.Bookkeeping & Accounting:Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Process vendor invoices, credit memos, customer payments, and deposits.Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks.GL tasksPrepare and maintain financial reports as requested by management.Work closely with the accountant for quarterly and year-end reporting.Maintain organized financial and business records.Compliance & HR Support:Assist with new employee onboarding paperwork and maintain personnel files.Manage payroll data entry and ensure accurate processing (in coordination with payroll provider).Support compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.Qualifications:3 years of experience in office management, bookkeeping, or a related administrative/accounting role.Experience in a trades, distribution, or supply-company environment preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.Excellent communication and customer service skills.High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.Ability to work independently and support a small team environment.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceVacation and paid time offHealth benefits (BCBS)Small, employee owned work environmentOpportunities for long-term stability and growthIf interested in working for a small employee owned company with a reputable name in their vertical on the north shore, please contact JMT Staffing Solutions at 781-558-2589 or apply to this ad today and a staffing manager will be back in touch with more details ASAP.
