A national labor and employment law firm with a Chambers USA–recognized practice is seeking an Associate (3–7 years) to join its San Diego office. The Labor & Employment Group represents and advises public and private companies on a broad range of employment law matters, including litigation, counseling, restrictive covenants, and employment-related investigations. The practice offers the opportunity to manage complex employment disputes and high-stakes matters for a diverse employer client base.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment and labor matters from intake through resolution, including wage-and-hour class and collective actions and PAGA matters
- Conduct legal research, fact development, and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation events
- Advise clients on employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and compliance with federal and California employment laws
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record
- 3 years of experience in employment litigation, including California wage-and-hour class and collective actions and PAGA matters
- Experience managing cases through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Admission to practice in California or eligibility to waive into the California Bar
