The primary responsibility of this role is to support the safe, compliant, and risk-informed execution of vehicle operations through operational safety oversight, safety case reviews, and mission constraint evaluations. This role works closely with operations, engineering, quality, and safety teams to assess operational readiness, identify hazards, and support data-driven decision-making for vehicle deployment and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety patrols, inspections, and assessments to identify unsafe conditions, process gaps, and risks.
- Review and support safety release cases, operational safety cases, and evidence to evaluate operational readiness and risk acceptance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operational assumptions, constraints, and mitigations are documented and maintained.
- Track, investigate, and resolve audit findings, safety concerns, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and improving operational processes and procedures.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment: Proven experience evaluating risk severity/likelihood and recommending appropriate controls.
- Safety Case & Readiness Review: Ability to evaluate safety release cases and risk documentation to determine operational readiness.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Strong written communication skills to produce clear inspection reports, audit findings, safety assessments, and risk registers.
- Corrective Action & Process Improvement: Strong organization to track issues to closure and use audit results to refine procedures and reduce risk.
