Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst

Role Overview
Client is looking for a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst with strong hands-on experience in accounting, financial analysis, inventory, and cash management. Experience in retail, apparel, fashion, lifestyle, jewelry, or other SKU-intensive businesses with physical stores and DTC/omnichannel operations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AP/AR, including PO creation, invoice processing, approvals, payments, reconciliations, collections, and cash application.
- Handle vendor/customer reconciliations, aging, discrepancies, and follow-ups.
- Perform bank, store deposit, credit-card, and cash reconciliations.
- Prepare daily cash position, cash-flow reporting, and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data, trends, variances, COGS, and store-level performance.
- Support inventory accounting, physical counts, inventory adjustments, shrinkage, and POS/store sales reconciliation.
- Support month-end close and financial reporting.
- Handle 1099 preparation and year-end vendor reporting.
- Work extensively in NetSuite across AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Use advanced Excel for analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Partner with Operations, Stores, Vendors, and other teams to resolve financial and inventory discrepancies.
Requirements
- 5 years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
- Strong AP, AR, cash management, reconciliation, and inventory accounting experience.
- Hands-on NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Experience with 1099 reporting and month-end close.
- Retail experience with physical stores, POS, inventory, e-commerce/DTC, and omnichannel operations preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
