About the Opportunity
We are hiring for one of our clients, a well-established organization in the construction materials industry, seeking an experienced Mobile Mechanic to support quarry operations. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on quarry equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, crushers, conveyors, and heavy machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to field equipment breakdowns and complete on-site repairs.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, and potential safety issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Ensure equipment complies with applicable safety regulations and operational standards.
- Operate diagnostic tools to identify equipment faults.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize repairs.
- Perform welding and fabrication work when required.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred education in Heavy Equipment Maintenance or a related field.
- 3–5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor environments.
- Travel requirement: 25–50%.
- Employment may be contingent upon successfully completing a background check where permitted by applicable law.
