Role Overview
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients. The Imaging Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing medical imaging systems and related technologies across multiple clinical service lines. This role serves as a key liaison between clinical departments, technology teams, and vendors to ensure reliable imaging operations, system performance, and end-user support.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support medical imaging applications, PACS platforms, cardiology imaging systems, and related technologies.
- Provide technical support for imaging applications, interfaces, storage systems, and voice recognition solutions.
- Serve as a primary on-site resource for the implementation, support, and optimization of imaging systems.
- Support hemodynamic and electrophysiology imaging applications and workflows.
- Coordinate imaging data integrations and interoperability initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors, biomedical teams, technical support teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Provide second-level technical support and issue resolution for imaging-related incidents and requests.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
- Assist in developing policies, procedures, user guides, and training documentation.
- Deliver training and education related to imaging applications and workflows.
- Support imaging security requirements and compliance initiatives, including healthcare privacy standards.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and reliability.
- Work closely with department leadership to ensure timely and accurate image acquisition, storage, and transmission.
- Analyze support trends and recommend operational improvements.
- Participate in imaging-related projects, implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Utilize database administration concepts and technical tools to support the imaging environment.
- Interpret technical documentation and system specifications.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across clinical and operational environments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Document support activities within the IT service management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of healthcare-related experience required.
- Medical imaging systems experience preferred.
- Basic computer and technical support experience required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting healthcare technology systems preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CIIP, PARCA, ARRT, RDMS, or CNMT preferred.
