About the Role We are hiring for one of our clients, a leading heavy building materials manufacturer. We are seeking a Quality Manager whose primary objective is to ensure that all cements produced meet plant, customer, industry, and government requirements. In this role, you will certify final products prior to shipment to customers, establish laboratory practices, and ensure testing is performed accurately and precisely in accordance with established standards.

What You Will Accomplish

• Take responsibility for meeting internal and customer specifications, documenting and certifying that shipped materials meet applicable requirements.
• Contribute to the production and supply of materials within specified quality parameters while meeting the cost objectives of the Quality department and the plant.
• Act as the designated management representative with the authority to operate, maintain, and implement the requirements of the Corporate and Plant Quality Manuals.
• Ensure the completion and communication of required testing from all stages of production (raw materials, raw mix, clinker, fuel, and cement).
• Staff laboratory personnel and ensure proper training for anyone involved in sampling and testing.
• Ensure the accuracy of all equipment used in quality control and assurance functions.
• Ensure Quality Department areas are operated safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Coordinate with other plant departments for continuous improvement in procedures, materials, testing schedules, and equipment.
• Coordinate with sales representatives to drive continuous product improvements and assist in developing new product lines.

• Formulate plant-specific quality policies, strategies, and design raw mixes based on available and usable raw materials.

• Qualify alternative raw materials based on chemical and physical attributes and plan daily QA/QC activities.

• Provide support to the Regional Technical Director and Technical Sales, and champion the Quality Council.
• Identify, record, and resolve quality issues, initiating action to prevent nonconformance in the product and Quality Management System.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns and complaints effectively.
• Work with Warehouse and Purchasing teams to establish spare parts inventory for the laboratory.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience).
• Field of Study: Technical discipline such as Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Experience: 5–7 years of relevant industry experience in Quality Management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar ERP systems).
• Safety Requirement: Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and the proper use of approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass mandatory qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
