Responsibilities
- Territory Growth: Drive market share by identifying, prospecting, and closing new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, and specialty clinics.
- Clinical Presentation: Conduct formal product demonstrations and in-services to surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and hospital stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing key opinion leaders (KOLs) and medical staff to ensure high product utilization.
- Value-Based Selling: Navigate complex hospital purchasing channels, value analysis committees (VAC), and procurement processes to secure contracts.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of healthcare trends, competitive landscapes, and local territory dynamics to position products effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: Outside Sales Depth: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of documented success in an outside B2B sales role (e.g., payroll, copiers, logistics, telecom) with a proven track record of hunting and closing new business.
- Medical Sales Preference: Current or prior medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales experience is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas (President’s Club, Top 10% rankings preferred).
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence clinical decision-makers and C-suite executives.
- High technical aptitude—ability to master complex clinical data, anatomy, and product mechanics.
- Self-motivated, structured, and capable of managing a large geographic territory independently.
