About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, high-performance surgical sales professional to spearhead our expansion in the Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Valencia, and Thousand Oaks territories. This is an entrepreneurial, high-stakes role designed for a top-tier closer who thrives on introducing game-changing, disruptive procedural technologies to the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Drive deep procedural adoption and capital/disposable sales of our disruptive surgical device portfolio within community hospitals and major medical centers.
- Manage, navigate, and own the entire sales cycle—from cold calling and clinical evaluations to VAC (Value Analysis Committee) approvals and execution.
- Maintain a heavy clinical presence in the Operating Room, acts as a trusted advisor to surgeons, surgical staff, and hospital administration.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas within the designated territory.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4-year college degree required).
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of high-performance procedural surgical sales experience.
- Track Record: A proven, documented history of hitting and exceeding sales quotas (President’s Club, top 10% rankings, etc.).
- Territory Coverage: Ability to travel effectively across Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Valencia, and Thousand Oaks.
Required Skills
- Prior experience selling a disruptive medical device that required changing surgeon behavior or clinical habits.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, agile startup environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knockout Criteria: Candidates without direct procedural surgical sales experience or those who cannot provide a documented, data-driven track record of sales success (numbers/rankings) will not be considered.
Pay range and compensation package
Compensation: $240,000 - $320,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE) Annual Equity Incentives
