Registered Nurse – OR (Circulating) in Sitka, Alaska. This travel assignment is a 13-week hospital OR role starting 06/01/2026 with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Expect 10-hour shifts on Tuesday through Friday with an on-call component. The weekly pay range is $2,737–$2,893. This position supports a wide range of elective and emergency cases in the operating room as a circulating nurse.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse in the operating room, coordinating patient flow and room readiness
• Maintain sterile technique, assist the surgical team, and manage instrument availability and counts
• Support anesthesia and the scrub team, ensuring patient safety and adherence to safety protocols
• Document intraoperative events, equipment usage, and specimen handling; assist with room turnover between cases
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to optimize case progress and throughput
• Participate in after-hours call coverage as required and contribute to a calm, organized OR environment
  
  

Requirements

• Licensure: Current Alaska RN license (active, unrestricted) at submission
• Experience: Minimum 3 years OR experience; circulating nurse experience strongly preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS current
• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma) and high school diploma or GED
• Other: AK license required at time of submission; ability to work in a hospital OR setting; flu vaccine required
