Responsibilities

• Review patient records and monitor progress to inform care decisions
• Conduct continuing review of hospitalization to assess necessity, length of stay, and quality of care
• Provide utilization review and case management services for referred-care program patients
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and care teams to ensure appropriate, cost-effective interventions
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education to support timely discharge
• Ensure accurate documentation and communication with payers and regulatory entities as required
  
  

Requirements

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license; must be in good standing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• 8 years of clinical nursing experience, with 3 years in chart review, risk management, or related quality service
• Case Management certification preferred (e.g., NCQA, CCMC)
• Flu vaccine required
• Fingerprinting/clearance process required; start date will be no earlier than 5 weeks after fingerprint submission and processing
