Responsibilities

• Coordinate a range of nursing care procedures for residents, considering conditions and treatment plans
• Lead and collaborate with CNA/Tech, LPN, and ward staff; follow physician orders, standards of care, and departmental policies
• Administer medications and therapeutics, document responses, and manage care plans in the electronic health record
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and update plans of care based on reassessment and interdisciplinary input
• Provide resident and family teaching, participate in care conferences, and assist with discharge planning
• Ensure patient safety and quality care by adhering to infection control measures and nursing standards; support charge responsibilities as needed when leadership is not physically present
  
  

Requirements

• Active Alaska Registered Nursing license
• Must provide two fingerprint cards upon acceptance
• Must have influenza vaccination
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 3x12 schedule (some day shifts may be required)
• Competence to practice in a long-term care environment and to follow established policies, confidentiality, and patient safety standards
