- Help people file their tax returns and pay their taxes accurately and timely
- Promote self-compliance through education and collaboration
- Communicate with customers or their representatives through phone and correspondence contact channels
- Provide quality services that are easily accessible
- Identify and pursue taxpayers that fail to file tax returns
- Identify and pursue withholding agents that fail to withhold
- Utilize cutting edge contact center technology and best-practice methodologies
- Detect and prevent refund fraud and identity theft
- Verify California (CA) regulatory requirements are met before allowing a tax professional access to clients' accounts
- Provide exceptional training and tools
- Create a work culture that values employees and their contributions

Working Conditions
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. Once training is complete, FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.
