Under the general direction of the Federal/State & Special Audit Section (FSSAS) Audit Manager, the incumbent is responsible for supervising and directing a team of assessment and resolution staff performing quality technical examinations of Personal Income Tax (PIT) and/or Business Entity (BE) returns and responding to protests and post correspondence, based on information received from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and California non-conformity issues. The incumbent is responsible for planning and directing the varied workloads assigned to the team while continuously looking for ways to streamline processes and improve the customer's experience. In addition, the incumbent will ensure operational goals and quality service objectives are met and will evaluate the need to shift resources between these workloads.

This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.
