Our client, an established womenswear company, is seeking a Designer – Wovens with a background in elevated sportswear to manage the design and development of seasonal collections. This role is responsible for driving the design process from concept through execution, creating sophisticated, modern product that reflects a refined point of view.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design process across assigned categories, from initial concept through final approval
- Research trends, develop seasonal concepts, determine color & print direction, and styling details
- Design across soft wovens, tailored suiting, shirting, and cut-and-sew knits
- Manage sample development, fittings, and revisions while maintaining calendar deadlines
- Create detailed sketches, technical packages, and presentation materials
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development to ensure product aligns with the overall collection vision and business objectives
Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of woven womenswear design experience
- Strong background in contemporary or luxury sportswear
- Expertise in woven categories, tailoring, and collection-driven design
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrication, fit, and silhouette
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deliveries and deadlines simultaneously
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
