Our client, an apparel company, is looking for a Tech Pack Designer to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, production-ready tech packs including specs, construction details, materials, and BOMs to support accurate sampling and bulk production
- Prepare and manage costing sheets, ensuring alignment with target margins and pricing strategies
- Partner closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to translate concepts into executable product
- Issue, track, and update tech packs and costing packages to vendors, ensuring clarity and timeliness
- Review samples and provide clear feedback to maintain consistency with design intent and quality standards
- Monitor development timelines and maintain organized documentation within PLM systems
- Ensure all products meet brand requirements for quality, fit, and compliance
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve development or production issues
Qualifications
- Prior experience working within a fashion company required
- Strong proficiency in creating comprehensive tech packs for apparel or accessories
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems
- Understanding of garment construction, materials, and costing processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Product Development, or a related field preferred
- Technical design experience is a plus
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
