Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturer, is seeking a Designer to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of seasonal collections.
- Research market trends, consumer insights, and competitive products.
- Create sketches, color concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials.
- Assist in fabric, trim, and material selection while considering quality, cost, and overall product goals.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, including technical details and product information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate with domestic and overseas vendors.
- Participate in fittings and update design details as styles evolve.
- Help organize design assets, samples, and seasonal materials.
- Provide support for product launches, marketing initiatives, and other design-related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of experience.
- Experience designing across multiple product categories is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with PLM systems is a plus.
- Excellent sketching, presentation, and visual communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach and a passion for creating innovative, commercially successful products.
Hybrid, 4 days on site
Salary: $95k-$115k
