Our client, an established apparel company, is seeking a highly organized and creative Associate Designer – Women's Wovens. This role will support the Senior Designer in the seasonal development of wovens, including but not limited to soft wovens, tailoring, and cut & sew knits.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Designer in the development of seasonal collections across women's soft wovens, tailoring, and cut & sew categories.
- Assist in researching fashion trends, color direction, print concepts, fabrics, silhouettes, and competitive market opportunities.
- Create sketches, CADs, and tech packs under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
- Assist with seasonal print development and trend presentations.
- Build, update, and maintain line sheets, development trackers, and seasonal planning documents.
- Organize and track all new developments, fabric submits, trim submits, lab dips, strike-offs, and approvals on a daily basis.
- Take detailed meeting notes and ensure timely follow-up on action items and development milestones.
- Communicate daily with Product Development, Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and overseas vendors to support product execution.
- Prepare design presentations, CAD boards, and seasonal review materials as needed.
- Maintain sample tracking and monitor development status throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide organizational support, including filing lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and development materials.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in apparel design, preferably within women's apparel.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & Procreate
- Experience creating technical sketches, CADs, and tech packs.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Salary : $70,000 - $73,000
