IT Support Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC (with occasional day travel to Greensboro, Greenville, and Rock Hill offices)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our geographically diverse IT team. This role is responsible for the effective support, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of end-user hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused problem solver with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new hire intake forms and prepare technology for onboarding.
- Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for end users on Microsoft Windows, Office 365, desktop/laptop systems, mobile devices, and firm-specific software.
- Participate in Help Desk operations, ensuring timely and accurate case updates and resolutions.
- Perform Active Directory tasks including password resets, account unlocks, and group membership changes.
- Conduct light hardware maintenance: diagnose issues, recommend solutions, repair, replace, or upgrade equipment as needed.
- Stay current with IT trends and recommend hardware/software improvements.
- Monitor and manage installation of operating system updates and assigned applications.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, processes, and deployments.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, and tablet PCs.
- Strong background supporting Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and related applications.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and general networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 and Active Directory administration.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills; able to translate technical issues for non-technical users.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed IT team.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
Experience & Certifications
- 3–5 years of experience supporting Windows desktop/laptop environments.
- Certifications such as A , MCP, or MCITP are highly preferred.
- Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops and laptops.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving basic networking, software, printing, and hardware issues.
- Customer service experience is required.
- Audio/Video system experience is a plus.
Additional Information
- Role requires some travel—primarily day trips—from the Charlotte, NC office to other firm locations (Greensboro, Greenville, Rock Hill).
