My client is one of the most reputable and well-established GC/Developers in the Chicagoland area, specializing in high-quality tenant interiors projects. With a strong backlog and continued growth, they are seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team and oversee daily field operations across multiple interior build-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day field operations, including supervision of subcontractors, trades, and on-site personnel
- Develop, maintain, and execute project schedules; coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and phased work activities
- Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, plans, and applicable building codes
- Act as the central communication point between project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients
- Maintain daily reports, track progress, address delays or issues, and support project managers with cost control
- Identify potential risks or conflicts and implement resolutions to protect schedule, quality, and budget
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; lead regular safety meetings and perform routine jobsite inspections
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent
- Proficiency with construction/project management software
- Experience developing and managing schedules using Microsoft Project
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $110,000 – $150,000
