Finatal is seeking a 2026 graduate to join our New York office as an Associate within our CFO Practice.
Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC (4 days / week in office)
Position: Associate
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 with quarterly commission
Start Date: June / July 2026

What will you be doing in this role?
This role is focused on supporting Partners on end-to-end search execution, with guidance and oversight from the U.S. Head of Delivery. The role focuses on market research, candidate development, search execution, and project coordination within the private equity CFO market.
Associates are client-facing and play a critical role in the delivery of search mandates, though they are not responsible for business development.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Development & Research
- Working closely with Partners to understand client requirements and develop targeted market maps within the private equity finance landscape
- Identify, engage, and develop relationships with high-caliber finance leaders across both permanent and interim markets
- Source talent using a mix of platforms – LinkedIn, job boards, Bullhorn (our CRM), networking, and direct outreach
- Conduct initial candidate screening calls and manage full candidate lifecycle
- Stay current on industry trends, market activity, and recent transactions in the private equity CFO ecosystem
Client Management
- Support the development of client materials and search documentation
- Participate in client briefings and weekly update meetings alongside Partners
- Build market intelligence to inform search strategies and client feedback
Search Coordination & Project Management
- Coordinate key aspects of the search process including weekly client calls, candidate interviews, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within Bullhorn and other systems
- Prepare candidate profiles, market maps, and search updates for internal and client meetings
- Support Partners in ensuring each search progresses efficiently and delivers a high-quality candidate experience
