Overview
Finatal is partnering with a well known private equity firm on the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer for a leading commercial aquatic construction and services business. The business serves institutional customers including universities, high schools, municipal facilities, and organizations such as YMCA, delivering turnkey aquatic facility solutions including design coordination, project management, plumbing, electrical systems, and long-term service support.
The company generates approximately ~$50M in revenue.
The business is entering an ambitious next phase of value creation, with a combination of service revenue expansion, geographic growth across the Northeast and Midwest, and a disciplined M&A roll-up strategy.
This role represents a true build opportunity, requiring a hands-on finance leader capable of establishing financial discipline, implementing percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, building a scalable finance organization, and supporting an active acquisition agenda.
This is a high-impact operating partner role, working closely with the founding leadership team and private equity sponsor to professionalize the platform and drive the next phase of growth.
This position is located in King of Prussia, PA, and the role will be on-site 4 days / wk.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience as a CFO or VP Finance within a private equity-backed middle-market business
- Deep expertise in construction, industrial services, specialty contracting, or project-based environments
- Strong experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and project finance
- Proven ability to build finance functions in founder-led or under-infrastructure businesses
- Experience supporting M&A and roll-up strategies, including diligence and integration
- Strong grounding in controllership and technical accounting, with progression into FP&A and strategic finance
- Experience implementing or upgrading ERP systems and financial infrastructure
- Comfortable operating hands-on in a lean environment while building a scalable organization
- Ability to partner closely with founders and operators in a high-growth private equity environment
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required. CPA strongly preferred.
Salary : $250,000 - $325,000
