The Summer Enrichment Facilitator is a team player who is excited to help every camper experience the joy of discovery and learning over the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, internalize, and deliver daily enrichment lessons for groups of up to 20 campers, implementing the GalileoX curriculum with energy, creativity, and fidelity.
  • Camp Environment: Create a safe, respectful, and youth development-based learning environment where all campers feel welcomed, valued, and excited to participate.
  • Culturally Relevant Facilitation: Implement and modify lesson plans to ensure activities are culturally relevant and accessible for a diverse population of campers.
  • Creative Project Development: Develop and facilitate creative, hands-on projects that deepen camper engagement and bring the enrichment curriculum to life.
  • Behavior Management and Conflict Resolution: Manage camper behavior and resolve conflicts promptly and effectively, using strategies that promote independence, self-control, and a positive camp culture.
  • Classroom Organization: Organize the activity space to facilitate camper independence, smooth transitions, and effective use of communal supplies and materials.
  • Progress Tracking and Communication: Work closely with the Director of Program Enrichment, Site Director, and Operations Coordinator to track camper progress and communicate regularly about individual and group needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Serve as an active and supportive team member alongside the Director of Expanded Learning, Site Director, and fellow Enrichment Facilitators.
  • Professional Development: Participate in all scheduled staff development sessions, training, and team meetings, and prepare effectively for activity observations and coaching conversations.
  • Other tasks as assigned or necessary for program success.
