Position Summary
The Summer Operations Coordinator is responsible for the overall systems and structures that make camp run smoothly for students and staff. The Operations Coordinator serves as a key member of the site leadership team, stepping in to support the Site Coordinator as needed to ensure seamless day-to-day program operations. The Operations Coordinator works directly with the Site Director to ensure their operations vision is reached. Their duties include managing food and attendance systems, managing parent communication (field trips, student illness, etc.), and overseeing lunch and recess, and managing field trip forms. Other responsibilities as needed to ensure a fun, safe experience for all students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Systems and Operations Management: Own and develop management systems for arrival, lunch, recess, dismissal, and physical space on campus, ensuring joy and safety are present in every transition and routine.
- Facilities Management: Manage the physical space of the building and all facilities-related needs, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff throughout the program day.
- Intern Support and Management: Directly manage and support interns, providing guidance, oversight, and day-to-day direction to ensure they are set up for success in their roles.
- Food Service Operations: Manage food service operations, including serving as the primary point of contact with the meal vendor and ensuring compliance with all related requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Serve as the primary owner of school safety processes and compliance, including administering training and running safety drills. Partner with the Site Director to respond to emergencies swiftly and effectively.
- Leadership Team Collaboration: Serve as a collaborative and supportive partner on the site leadership team, contributing to a positive and well-coordinated program environment.
- Parent and Family Communication: Engage with parents and families on operational topics with a clear customer service mindset, honoring and involving families in the camp community.
- Other tasks as assigned or necessary for program success.
