Position Summary
The Summer Transportation Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safe and supervised transport of campers between program sites. The Transportation Monitor rides with students on bus routes between Cox and Achieve and between LWL and Achieve, maintaining a safe, calm, and positive environment for all campers during transit. This role is perfect for someone who is reliable, responsible, and enjoys working with young people in a fun and energetic summer camp setting.
Responsibilities
- Student Supervision: Supervise and monitor all campers during bus transit between Cox and Achieve and LWL and Achieve, ensuring a safe and orderly environment throughout each ride.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce bus safety rules and expectations, ensuring all campers are seated and behaving appropriately during transport.
- Camper Engagement: Maintain a positive, calm, and fun atmosphere on the bus, engaging with campers in a way that reflects the energy and culture of the summer program.
- Communication: Communicate promptly with the Site Director and Operations Coordinator regarding any incidents, behavioral concerns, or issues that arise during transport.
- Arrival and Dismissal Support: Assist with camper pickup and drop-off procedures at each site, ensuring all campers are accounted for and safely transitioned to and from the bus.
- Other tasks as assigned or necessary for program success.
