Position Overview
As the Director of Nursing, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership for the Nursing Department while ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational excellence. You will work alongside an engaged leadership team that values communication, accountability, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Direct all nursing operations
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and frontline staff
Ensure survey readiness and regulatory compliance
Improve clinical outcomes and quality measures
Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and retention
Develop future nursing leaders through coaching and education
Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Manage departmental budgets and clinical resources
Qualifications
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous Director of Nursing or nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Passion for developing people and improving resident outcomes
