Du Quoin Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activity Director to lead our activities program and make every day meaningful for our residents. Compensation

$16.00–$17.50 per hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule

Full-Time

Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required for special events and resident activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging daily activities for residents.

• Coordinate holiday celebrations, entertainment, special events, and community outings.

• Encourage resident participation while promoting socialization and emotional well-being.

• Complete activity calendars, assessments, and required documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide meaningful resident-centered programming.

• Maintain activity supplies and ensure programs meet state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• 36-Hour Basic Activity Director Orientation Course preferred (training assistance available if needed)

• Previous experience in long-term care or senior activities is preferred but not required.

• Creative, organized, and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.

• Compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for improving residents' quality of life.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
