Du Quoin Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about resident safety, staff education, quality improvement, and maintaining the highest infection prevention standards in a skilled nursing environment.

Compensation

Registered Nurse (RN)

• $33.00 – $35.00/hour

• $0.10/hour for each year of experience (up to 20 years)

• $0.75/hour for on-call responsibilities

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• $29.00 – $31.00/hour

• $0.10/hour for each year of experience (up to 20 years)

• $0.75/hour for on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's Infection Prevention & Control Program

• Conduct infection surveillance, reporting, and trend analysis

• Educate staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory requirements

• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, IDPH, and facility infection control standards

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to reduce healthcare-associated infections

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys

• Provide on-call support as assigned

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing

• Long-term care experience preferred

• Knowledge of infection prevention principles and state and federal regulations

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to educate staff and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
