Project Manager – Healthcare Construction
Location: Tampa, Florida
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up healthcare construction projects in the Tampa market. This role is ideal for a construction professional with proven experience managing complex medical facility projects and navigating AHCA compliance and inspection processes.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects from preconstruction through completion, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams while ensuring compliance with healthcare construction regulations.
Responsibilities
Manage ground-up healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and project execution
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with AHCA requirements and manage inspection processes
Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting
Oversee project schedules and ensure timely project delivery
Lead internal teams including Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and project staff
Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
Healthcare Construction Experience Required
Proven experience delivering ground-up projects valued at $20M or greater
Experience Coordinating AHCA Inspections Preferred
Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and construction management processes
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Compensation
Competitive market compensation based on experience
Base salary ranges up to $175,000 depending on experience
