Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations on the construction site
- Coordinate and supervise labor and equipment for bridge construction activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and assist in maintaining project schedules
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Assist in managing project financials, including tracking costs and budgets
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
- Support the Superintendent in training and mentoring junior staff
- Proven experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in bridge construction
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Familiarity with DOT and MassDot standards
- Experience with pile driving and drilled shafts
- Understanding of structural steel work
- Ability to implement traffic control measures
- Knowledge of erosion and sediment controls and NPDES requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
