Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a UI/UX Designer 3. The work will be done in a hybrid setting (2–3 days onsite per week, with the ability to return full-time onsite if required) in Chillicothe, IL. This is a long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $57/hr full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
The UI/UX Designer 3 will play a key role in translating user research and business needs into intuitive and effective user experiences. This role focuses on supporting product design through research, prototyping, and UX strategy development. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product owners, and designers to deliver user-centered solutions. This position offers the opportunity to influence product direction through research insights, UX artifacts, and design recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate research and usability testing findings into actionable UI/UX design recommendations
• Identify user, customer, and business needs and transform them into compelling user experience concepts
• Facilitate and apply user research methodologies to improve product design
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on prototype development, testing, and iteration
• Create UX deliverables such as journey maps, user flows, and storyboards to communicate design intent
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of experience in UX research and user experience design, preferably in a corporate or B2B environment
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals
• Experience with prototyping and UI design tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with project management practices
• Strong data storytelling and research synthesis capabilities
• Experience working in complex product environments or enterprise systems
