Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a UI/UX Designer 1. The work will be done onsite in Mossville, IL. This is a long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $34/hr full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the design and delivery of user-centered digital experiences across a variety of platforms and applications. This role focuses on understanding user needs, translating business requirements into intuitive interface designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create consistent, high-quality user experiences. The designer will contribute to research, design validation, and usability improvements while supporting ongoing product and customer experience initiatives. This position offers exposure to large-scale digital ecosystems and the opportunity to influence end-to-end user experience strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business analysts, product teams, and engineers to gather and understand user and business requirements
• Design user interface specifications and user experiences using tools such as Figma and other UX/UI platforms
• Participate in design reviews, usability testing, and business acceptance testing to validate solutions
• Support user research activities, including personas, journey mapping, and customer insights
• Contribute to continuous improvement of UX methodologies, standards, and design processes
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, UX Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of experience in UX/UI design or related field
• Experience using design tools such as Figma (required), Sketch, or similar
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts effectively
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing complex digital systems or enterprise applications
• Familiarity with user research methods, personas, and journey mapping
• Exposure to working with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
