Courtyard by Marriott Killeen is seeking an energetic, dependable, and service-focused Banquet Server / Set-Up Attendant to support banquet and event operations. This role is responsible for assisting with event setup, food and beverage service, room breakdown, and maintaining a clean and professional event environment for guests.
The ideal candidate is team-oriented, attentive to detail, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet tables, chairs, linens, buffet lines, and dining areas according to event specifications
- Assist with room preparation and breakdown before and after banquet functions
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
- Refill beverages, clear tables, and assist with overall guest service during events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, service stations, and event areas
- Assist with food presentation, buffet replenishment, and service support as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hotel service standards
- Communicate effectively with banquet leadership and team members to ensure smooth event execution
- Respond to guest needs and requests promptly and professionally
- Support other banquet and hotel operational needs as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain professional under pressure
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist where needed
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical event setup and breakdown duties
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Bartending or beverage service experience is a plus, but not required
