Courtyard by Marriott Killeen is seeking a dependable, hands-on, and service-driven Banquet Manager to oversee banquet and event operations. This position is responsible for leading banquet staff, coordinating event execution, and ensuring each function is set, serviced, and completed according to hotel standards and guest expectations.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee banquet functions from setup to service to breakdown
- Lead, train, and support banquet staff to ensure successful event execution
- Review and execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event timelines
- Coordinate with internal departments including culinary, sales, and hotel operations
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate event details to staff
- Monitor event flow and resolve guest or client concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Inspect event spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper setup
- Assist with staff scheduling and task delegation based on event needs
- Maintain banquet inventory, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety procedures, and service expectations
- Provide hands-on operational support during events as needed
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, food and beverage, or hospitality leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer and email proficiency
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
