Job Title: Senior Human Resources Manager

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and elevate all aspects of the employee lifecycle across a growing multi-state organization. This strategic and hands-on leader will serve as the senior HR partner to executive leadership, overseeing talent acquisition, HR operations, compliance, employee relations, organizational development, and culture initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader who has successfully supported multi-site operations, built scalable HR infrastructure, and partnered with leadership teams to drive business performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence organizational strategy while remaining connected to day-to-day HR execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership.
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and growth initiatives.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and organizational development efforts.
- Utilize workforce analytics and HR metrics to identify trends and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and best practices that support company growth and employee engagement.
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts for field, corporate, sales, and leadership positions.
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract high-performing talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to improve recruiting effectiveness and reduce time-to-fill.
- Manage onboarding programs and ensure a seamless employee experience from hire through integration.
- Evaluate and enhance recruiting processes, systems, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, employee records, and HR operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
- Lead employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and corrective action processes.
- Manage leave of absence programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, and related compliance requirements.
- Maintain employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Partner with Finance on compensation programs, payroll practices, and workforce budgeting.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives across multiple locations.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
- Develop manager training programs focused on leadership effectiveness, employee relations, and compliance.
- Lead change management initiatives and support organizational growth efforts.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee development programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership-level responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of California employment law and multi-state HR compliance.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site operations and distributed workforces.
- Hands-on experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Proven ability to influence leaders and drive HR initiatives that support business objectives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting service-based, construction, manufacturing, logistics, restoration, or field operations environments.
- Experience within high-growth, private equity-backed, or rapidly scaling organizations.
- Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS and payroll systems, including Rippling or similar platforms.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and organizational transformation initiatives.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
