A growing Real Estate investment and property management firm is seeking an FP&A Manager to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the FP&A Manager will play a key leadership role in driving the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning initiatives. The FP&A Manager will partner closely with senior leadership, asset management, acquisitions, operations, and accounting teams to deliver meaningful financial insights, support investment decisions, and help drive organizational growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting cycles, and long-range strategic planning efforts across the organization
- Develop, enhance, and oversee complex financial models related to portfolio performance, property operations, capital projects, and corporate initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership to analyze business performance and provide actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for senior management, investors, and key stakeholders
- Lead variance analysis efforts, identifying key drivers impacting operational and financial performance
- Collaborate with Asset Management, Acquisitions, Property Management, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting
- Support investment underwriting, capital allocation decisions, and portfolio-level financial analysis
- Manage scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and ad hoc financial analyses related to acquisitions, dispositions, financing activities, and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting capabilities, data integrity, and automation initiatives
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems, planning tools, and reporting platforms
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members while helping establish best practices within the FP&A function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, real estate finance, investment analysis, private equity, REITs, or related field
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skill
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning platforms such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Oracle, OneStream, or similar systems preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements, real estate performance metrics, and investment analysis
- Experience working with ERP and property management systems such as Yardi, MRI, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within real estate investment, property management, development, REIT, or private equity real estate environments
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or progress toward one of these designations is preferred
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Prior leadership or team management experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of portfolio analytics, property-level reporting, and real estate investment performance metrics
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
