Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing personalized service.
- Handle cash, coins, and negotiable instruments accurately and securely in accordance with established cash-handling procedures. Process a variety of banking and teller transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, while following applicable procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Open and service various checking and savings accounts, using appropriate systems and resources to accurately document services performed on customer accounts.
- Engage customers in conversations to understand their current and future financial needs and identify opportunities to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
- Deliver a high level of customer service by proactively welcoming customers and creating a personalized experience when they visit the branch.
- Contribute to business growth by supporting monthly sales and service goals and performance metrics.
- Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate specialized areas, including mortgage, wealth management, and insurance.
- Support the onboarding of new customers through established follow-up processes to help ensure they successfully understand and use their banking products and services.
- Use technology to educate customers on available digital banking solutions, including virtual teller services, mobile banking, and safe online banking practices. Assist customers with questions or difficulties related to digital banking tools.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience & Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- Four-year degree strongly preferred.
- Three years of cash-handling experience strongly preferred.
- Two years of retail banking experience strongly preferred.
- Three to five years of customer service or sales experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience opening accounts for small business customers.
