📍 Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote after training)
🕒 Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM MT (occasional Saturdays as needed)
We're partnering with a growing financial services company to hire an experienced Underwriter for a hybrid opportunity based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in consumer lending who enjoys making sound credit decisions, analyzing financial information, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting solar loans or other home improvement financing, be detail-oriented and customer-focused, and be excited to join a team that values operational excellence and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Review and underwrite consumer loan applications within lending authority.
- Analyze credit, income, and supporting documentation to determine loan eligibility.
- Perform detailed income calculations and identify any additional documentation needed.
- Communicate with internal teams, borrowers, and business partners regarding loan decisions and requirements.
- Ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and compliant with company guidelines.
- Support process improvements and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of consumer loan underwriting experience.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis, income calculations, and loan documentation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- Experience in solar, home improvement lending, or fintech is a plus, but not required.
