POSITION SUMMARY: This position involves day-to-day responsibilities that require independent judgment and discretion, contributing to the department's claims handling success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES:

- Oversee a book of business inclusive of Commercial &, as applicable, Personal lines claims
- Serve as a liaison between the Client, Carrier, Account Executive and Producer on claims related issues
- Attend strategy meetings on servicing the account as well as attend in person renewal meetings with Producers and Account Executives
- Client advocacy in interaction with carriers on claim related matters
- Maintain relationships and communications with carriers and clients
- Prepare and present claim reviews and action plans to clients
- Review and process new claim reports and court decisions
- Support claims process through research, expertise and internal and external communications
- Participate in trainings and educational presentations to augment knowledge on emerging/relevant claims handling and coverage related issues.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
No specific supervisory responsibilities, but frequently required to instruct Claims Administrator on the submission of claims and which lines of business are applicable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Computer skills and proficiency with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years in insurance industry adjusting claims
- P&C Broker’s License

Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
